Abstract
The Guide Basin,a tectonic landform unit in the northeast Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,is well developed with river terraces. However, much controversy still exists regarding the age of the river terraces.By testing and analyzing the ESR age data of 10 samples from the river terraces in Guide Basin from Longyang Gorge to Songba Gorge,it is preliminarily concluded that the uplift of the Yellow River Basin in Guide area is characterized by intermittence,multi-period heterogeneity and asymmetry.
