College English Teaching Situation in Vocational College and Countermeasures

Abstract

Since reform and opening-up,China vocational education has made great progress,while college English teaching situation in vocational colleges and students' English learning are not good.The author has,in accordance with vocational college cultivation objective by the Ministry of Education,the PRC,analyzed college English teaching situation,pointed out the existing problems in college English teaching in vocational colleges and proposed to improve teaching idea,reform teaching mode,emphasize specialty characteristics,cultivate students' English application competence so as to improve college student quality and meet the requirements of social development.
