Abstract

The lost article,A Philosopher of Chinese Reactionismwhich is published in the The Chinese Student's Monthly has close relationship withGoodnow and Chinese Reactionismmentioned inHU Shi's diary. Its values are reflecting Hu Shi's knowledge on new intellectual before Yuan Shi- kai's claiming to be monarch,reflecting Hu Shi's early national view which became the foundation of dealing with the relationship between government and himself,and which was the key to open the secret of his intellectual point and of his attending the New Culture Movement.
