Abstract

This paper aims to seek an economic and effective treatment of phenol wastewater, discuss the degradation disciplinary and mechanism of phenol wastewater in this method and provide a theoretical basis for the application of this method to the actual phenol wastewater treatment.Based on the theory of electrolysis,a self-made three-dimensional electrode-Fenton reagent reactor was used to treat phenol wastewater.Three-dimensional electrode-Fenton reagent method could use ·OH which is produced by electrolysis and Fenton reaction in the degeneration of phenol wastewater. It had a higher removal efficiency of phenol wastewater by using activated carbon fiber as cathode. The largest degeneration efficiency of phenol was 94.5% in the best reaction conditions. That is,the pH was 3.0,the addition quantity of Fe2+ was 0.8 mmol/L,and the voltage of electrolysis was 12 V.Three-dimensional electrode-Fenton reagent is a speedy, economic and effective method for the treatment of the wastewater which contains high concentration and toxic. At the same time,it can also be used for reference to treat other industrial wastewater.
