Abstract
Weihe basin is prone to centralized precipitation and rainstorms. The Sanmenxia reservoir dam has caused silting in the lower reaches of Weihe River, made the river mouth become higher that made lower reaches of Weihe River an aboveground river. So flood occur frequently. The authors suggest to strengthen soil and water conservation, construct water conservancy work in upper reaches for cutting silt and reducing mud, adjust operation mode of Sanmenxia reservoir, make Tongguan height lower and exploit and use water resource in a comprehensive way.
