Abstract

The pavement performance prediction including both the existing road condition and road age is presented, the prediction of pavement performance will be more quick and accurate. The maintenance decision and economic analysis method of high grade highway are discussed.The improved excellent-inferior coefficient method is presented which utilizes fully the expert's knowledge, the error is reduced and the maintenance decision obtained is more reasonable.The computer aided maintenance decision system of Expressway Pavement Management is developed. The databases of the expressway information are established, then the system evaluates the pavement performance automatically and recommends the maintenance scheme by expert knowledge. The establishment and the execution of the maintenance management system improve the mode of application management and maintenance management of high grade highway in Jiangsu Province and establish the development base of future network system management of high grade highway.
