Abstract

Objective To evaluate the significance of color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI)in the diagnosis of thyroid nodules. Methods The comparisons were performed with the results of CDFI by LOGIQ 7,radionuclide imaging results and the pathological results in thyroid nodule patients. Results The result was that RI0.7 was a useful aid in the diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules. The sensitivity was 73.7%,with a specificity of 92.8%and an overall accuracy of 89%.There was no significant difference between benign and malignant nodules by peak velocity and the degree of the blood flow.Cold nodules with rich blood were always suggestive of adenoma or carcinoma. The preliminary found was that the number of blood flow signals in malignant nodules seemed to have a relationship with the organization type of the tumors. Conclusion CDFI is significant in the diagnosis of thyroid nodules.
