Emphases of agricultural water-saving in Jiangsu Province according to current situation at home and abroad

Some main agricultural water-saving measures currently used in some developed countries were presented from the aspects of water-saving technologies, water-using management,economic policies,planting structures,water price adjustment and the participation of water users.Based on the level and the main approaches of water-saving in China as well as some typical experiences,the gap of water-saving between China and some developed countries was analyzed with emphasis placed on water utilization efficiency,single commissariat-producing capacity and the ratio of area with sprinkling irrigation and drip irrigation to the total area of irrigation.Through the analysis of the current situation,achievements and problems existing in water-saving in Jiangsu Province,the emphases and main measures for water-saving in the future were put forward.
