Lactobacillus vaginal capsules in the treatment of postpartum vaginitis

Objective: To evaluate the application of lactic acid bacteria vaginal capsules in the treatment of postpartum vaginitis.Methods: The patients with trichomonas vaginitis(n=60),candida vaginitis(n=60) and bacterial vaginosis(n=60) were randomly divided into two groups.Half patients(n=30) were treated with lactobacillus vaginal capsule combined with conventional therapy,and another 30 patients with conventional therapy alone(control).Cure rate and vaginal pH in two groups were compared at one week after the end of treatment.Results: At one week after the end of the capsule treatment,the cure rates were 93.33%,96.67% and 93.33%,and vaginal pH was(4.42±0.06),(4.47±0.03) and(4.39±0.08),respectively,in patients with trichomonas vaginitis,candida vaginitis and bacterial vaginosis.In control groups,the cure rates were 70.00%,70.00% and 73.33%,and vaginal pH was(5.27±0.05),(4.95±0.02) and(4.98±0.05),respectively.There were significant differences between two groups(P0.05).Conclusion: Lactic acid bacteria vaginal capsules combined with conventional therapy can improve the vaginal microenvironment,and raise the cure rate.
