Limb salvage strategies for bone tumors around the shoulder

Objective To investigate the limb salvage strategies in bone tumors resection around the shoulder.Methods 2 patient underwent limb salvage procedures for treatment of bone tumors around the shoulders.One cases was proximal humerus osteogenicsarcoma,which was performed the tumor-bearing bone resection and reconstruction with turnover the clavicle.The other cases was malignant fibrous histiocytoma of scaplula,which was performed the tumor resection and the acromial of humerus slinging.Results2 cases were followed up for a short time.The pain of the shoulder was disappeared.And the shoulder joint reserved certain function when it did some passive activity.Conclusion According to the different location of the bone tumors around shoulder,the grade of the malignant tumor,the different limb-salvage procedure were performed and could reserve the function,the outline of the shoulder and improving the quality of patient's life.
