Abstract
A degrading-prometryn strain, isolated from soils exposed to repeated spills of the herbicide, belongs to Pseudomonas. It was proved that the degrading effect was affected by temperature and pH, and that the optimum condition was pH 7.0,32℃. After designing the primers, a 500bp-length degrading-gene conservative sequence was obtained by PCR amplification. With partial sequencing and homology analysis, the result showed there is a high homology between this sequence and the genes of s-triazine hydrolases such as atzA, triA.
