Abstract

Objective To investigate the relationship between non-ST elevation acute coronary ischemic syndrome and brain natriuretic peptide(BNP).Methods 52 patients with non-ST elevation acutecoronary ischemic syndrome were randomly divided into two groups according to the levels of BNP,BNP enhancement group and non-BNP enhancement group.BNP was examined at 0h,6h,24h and 40h after hospilization. The patients was examined by cardiac ultrasonic inspection. The case fatality within 6 months, the incidence of heart failure and shock, and the incidence of myocardial infarction after 30 days were observed for both groups. Results The incidence of malignant occurrence in BNP enhancement group was significantly higher than that in non-BNP enhancement group(P0.01).The cardiac ultrasonic inspection showed that there was no significant difference in the change of heart chamber size and left ventricular function between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion The measurement of plasma BNP levels in patients with acute coronary ischemic sydrome within 40 h could evaluate patient's left ventricular function and predict the incidence of fatal and non-fatal malignant occurrence, which has an important application value in clinic.
