Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of noninvasive positive pressure ventilation(NIPPV) in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) of acute exacerbation with respiratory failure. Methods Choose 42 patients with COPD of acute exacerbation with respiratory failure. All patients were given bi-level positive airway pressure(BiPAP).After treatment, detected breathing, heart rate and arterial blood gas analysis and other indicators. Results The total effective rate was 83.3%.After treatment, breathing, heart rate and blood gas analysis were significantly improved compared with before treatment, the differences were statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Efficacy of NIPPV in COPD of acute exacerbation with respiratory failure is significant.NIPPV can significantly improve the blood of patients with COPD,lung function and clinical symptoms,it is worth in clinical application.
