Abstract

In the medium of H2SO4,based on the quantitative replacement of Cu(Ⅱ)by Bi(Ⅲ)from Cu-EDTA and the catalytic effect of Cu(Ⅱ)on the reactions between hydrogen peroxide and toluidine blue/neutral red,a new method of dual-wavelength catalytic kinetic spectrophotometry for the determination of Bi(Ⅲ)has been developed. The linear range was 0.00200-0.110μg/25 mL and the detection limit was 4.1×10-11 g/mL.The method was applied to the determination of Bi(Ⅲ)in medicaments with satisfactory results.
