On Ci Club of Jianghu School in the South Song Dynasty

Ci Club is a place where elegant men of letters assemble.In the early South Song Dynasty,Jianghu School featured of the way that people of one kind came together and make Ci according to the theme written in the lotus leaf they choose.Though they sometimes discussed the way of Ci,their style was different and seemed to be independent.In the middle South Song Dynasty,Jianghu School set the example of Qing Zhen Ci to instruct club members so that members of different styles came to be similar under the same standard.In the late South Song Dynasty,Ci Club experienced the drastic social change.The troublous situation made members chant things more frequently.They regarded Ci Club as a place to teach the way of Ci.Ci was taught to students by teachers in the old time,but at that time it turned to discuss the way of Ci together.In this way,Jianghu School became a typical Ci school.
