Abstract
Conceptual metaphor theory holds that metaphor is not only a linguistic phenomenon, but also a way of thinking as well as a means of cognition.Metaphor translation also should be cognition—oriented.According to the conceptual metaphor theory, the paper points out two key points in metaphor translation:transferring image;keeping the feature of the metaphor. This paper also puts forwards some effective methods so as to transfer the correct information from the source language to target language, and to make the source reader and the target reader have the same cognition.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
