Abstract

The basic concept of Group Technology and application in manufacturing industry are briefly introduced. Also introduced is the close relationship of Group Technology with advanced manufacturing such as CAD, CAPP, CIMS and lean production. After the research, it is found that Group Technology is the base and cue of modern manufacturing technology, it is also an economical and effective way to technology progressing.
