STUDY ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF SMALL TOWNS OF GANSU PROVINCE

The development of small towns has a very important significance in prompting rural economy growth and propelling the society forward. In Gansu Province, the development of rural enterprises is slow, the developmental level of social economy is low, the regional environment of small towns development is congenitally inadequate, which results in overall small scale, single industrial structure, scattered spatial layout and lack in the function of influencing and giving impetus to the neighboring region. Facing the 21st century, as for Gausu province, the government should attach importance to overall planning, increase fund input, develop distinctive industries, perfect infrastructure and reform administrative system.By doing so, small towns and rural society economy will develop continuously and healthily.
