Abstract

The immunogenicity of an inactivated H5N1 subtype avian influenza vaccine generated from a molecular modified attenuated reassortant seed virus was evaluated in ducks, geese and pigeons, and results demonstrated that the vaccine induced strong hemagglutinination inhibition antibody immune response in waterfowls and pigeons.Based on the results,we propose the vaccination procedures as following: ducks could be vaccinated with the first dose of 0.5?mL at the age of 2_week_old and the second dose of 1.0?mL at the age of 3_month_old,and a third dose of 1.0?mL could be applied at the age of 9_month_old; geese could be vaccinated with the first dose of 0.5?mL at the age of 10_day_old and the second dose of 1.5?mL at the age of 4_week_old,and a third dose of 1.5?mL could be applied at the age of 4_month_old;pigeons could be vaccinated with the first dose of 0.3?mL at the age of 2_week_old and the second dose of 0.5?mL at the age of 4_week_old,and a third dose of 0.5?mL could be applied at the age of 6_month_old.
