The curative effect analysis of Felodipine and Nifedipine in bringing down high blood pressure

Objective To evaluate and compare Felodipine and Nifedipine's curative effect in the treatment of Grade I and Grade II primary hypertontion(EH). Methods Select 72 paticnts who are suffering Grade I and Grade II EH Separte them into Felodipine group and Nifedipine group radomly For Felodipine group,give 5mg once each morning Increase the dose to 10mg if the blood pressure has'nt been brought down to the effective level In Nifedipine group,give 10mg,three times each day Change into 20mg if the blood pressure hasn't been brought down to the effective level In these two groups,the courses of treatment are both 8 weeks All the patients in these two groups must have blood pressure taken radomly,in the morning and at night before treatment and 2 and 4 weeks after treatment Observe it's side-effects at the same time Results There is no striking difference between Felodiping and Nifedipine in the effect of bringing down blood pressure ( P 0 05),but Felodipine's effect of bringing down blood pressure is stronger than Nifedipine,it's effect is more stable,more over it has less side effect Conclution Giving Fclodipinc oncc a day in the morning can contral Gradc I and Grade Ⅱ EH patient's 24h blood pressure level effectively and it has less side effect than Nifedipine
