Abstract
The basic task of the structural limit analysis is to calculate the structural bearing capacity.Calculated the limit load for piping with axial inside surface crack under internal pressure with an elastic-plastic finite element method and a new estimation rule of limit load.The results indicate that the limit internal pressure in a nondimensional form(p B /p 0) has a relation with A/T and T/D o.p B/ p o is an insignificant effect of L/D o.The corresponding finite element solution database about the plastic limit internal pressure is then established,and the results are very useful for safety assessment of pipes with defects.
