Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the clinical significances of c-MYC,LIN28,KLF4,SOX2,OCT4 and NANOG in renal cell carcinoma. Methods: The paired tumor and normal tissue specimens of 20 patients were collected according to the pathology. We detected the expression of c-MYC,LIN28,KLF4,SOX2,OCT4 and NANOG with quantitative real-time reverse transcription-PCR(qRT-PCR).Results: c-MYC expression level was higher and KLF4,SOX2,OCT4 and NANOG expression levels were lower in RCC tissues com-pared with normal tissues(P0.05).There was no difference about LIN28.Their deregulations were not significantly related to clinical characteristics except that c-MYC was correlated with tumor size(P0.05).Conclusions: The present analysis suggests that altered ex-pression of several stem cell factors may play a role in RCC pathogenesis.
