To Further Study Some Obscure Words and Expressions in Shi Shuo Xin Yu(II)

Abstract

The book,Shi Shuo Xin Yu(世说新语) is mainly about the anecdotes and behavior of the noble class during the period from the end of Han dynasty to East Jin dynasty.Many researchers in past dynasties have written lots of papers about the words and expressions in the book.And several specialized books about Shi Shuo Xin Yu have been published in recent years.All of the studies have laid a foundation for us not only to understand the content of the book correctly but also to know the people,historical events and society in that period.However,there are many different ideas about understanding some words and expressions in the book because of the style of the book's spoken narration,special social background and thinking ways.The author aims to do some further study in several obscure words and expressions in Shi Shuo Xin Yu based on previous researchers' achievements.
