Abstract
Based on the density difference between cottonseed kernel and hull, cottonseed protein concentrate was prepared by density separation. The solutions used are K2CO3 and SnCl4 solution. The protein content in product with K2CO3 is higher than that with SnCl4.The cottonseed meal produced with two-phase solvent is dealt with the optimum concentration of K2CO3 solution (43%,mass),the content of protein in product is 75% and the yield of protein is 66%.In addition, when the market cottenseed meal with pre-pressing extraction, and the meal dealt with methanol are handled with K2CO3 solution,The content of protein in product can be improved, but the color is very deep.
