Abstract

The chromosome specimens of Ctenogobius giurinus were obtained from metaphase of kidney cells by vivo-injection of PHA and Colchicine, lower osmotic pressure process,hypatoic-air drying technique, and then their karyotypes,C-bands and Ag-NORs were studied in this paper. The results showed:(1)Ctenogobius giurinus had a diploid chromosome number of 44 and its karyotype formula was 8m+12sm+24t,NF=64,sex chromosome was not found;(2)All the centromeres of chromosomes were C-bands positive and so was the short arm of the 1st chromosome with tinctorial strength same as its centromeric C-bands;(3)The Ag-NORs polymorphisms were individually specific, mainly 1~2 pairs of the number, and the frequency of 1 Ag-NORs was the lowest(9.8%),while the frequency of 2 Ag-NORs was the highest(78%),Ag-NORs mostly appeared in chromosome m1 and sm3.
