Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effect of enteral nutrition emulsion in diabetic patients after abdominal surgery. Methods One hundred diabetic patients after abdominal surgery were randomly divided into the enteral nutrition group(50 patients)and parenteral nutrition group(50 patients). The nutrition index and clinical setting of the patients in the two groups were observed. Results The levels of weight, hemoglobin(Hb) and total protein(TP) of the patients in the enteral nutrition group were higher than those of the parenteral nutrition group on the 4th day of the operation(P0.05),so did on the 10th day of the operation(P0.05).Daily blood glucose fluctuations of the patients in enteral nutrition group were significantly lower than those of the parenteral nutrition group. The incidence rate of post-operative complications of the patients in the enteral nutrition group was significantly lower than that of the parenteral group(P0.01).The length of stay and cost of hospitalization of the patients in the enteral nutrition group were significantly lower than those of the parenteral group(P0.05).The period of exhaust of the patients in the enteral nutrition group was significantly shorter than that of the patenteral group(P0.01).Conclusion The early application of enteral nutrition emulsion in diabetic patients after abdominal surgery has better curative effects and quick recovery of gastrointestinal function and ensure that the patients has a better nutritional status.
