Probing into the Exclusion of Du Fu′s poems in Tang People′s selected Poems of Tang Dynasty

Du Fu has been one of the most great poets in Tang Dynasty even in China since the literature came into being.However,the collection of He Yue Ying Ling and the collection of Zhong Xing Jian Qi,which are held in high esteem,didn′t collect the poems of Du Fu.Even the collection of Cai Diao with thousands of poems selected poems didn′t collect Du Fu′s poems.Only the collection of You Xuan selected seven poems of Du Fu.The phenomenon forms a sharp contrast with the high praise in the later generation.This becomes an important srage that can′t be ignored in the initial history of accepting the poems of Du Fu.Derive form history,we can divide the phenomenon into two aspects: one is that Du Fu was a beginner in literature of Tang Dynasty,the editor of Tang Dynasty did not regard him as a necessary person because of he was like a stream in a certain area rather than an ocean in the world later.The other is more complex and decided by a lot of factors such as the editor′s taste and understanding of arts,circulation of works themselves.All of the above reasons make a regretable fact that can not revocable.
