Abstract

Lin Yutang interpreted Confucianism creatively,analyzed its concepts,reshaped the saints'images and constructed a theoretical framework in the modern context.In view of the drawbacks of western Christianity and modern scientific rationality,he highlighted the humanistic features of Confucianism,and emphasized its worldliness,emotionality and simplicity.
