Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effect of local eyelid tissue flap on reconstruction of subtotal full-thickness upper eyelid defect. Methods Local eyelid tissue flap procedures were carried out when the patient suffered dog bite on her right upper. Results The patient was satisfied with the aesthetic outcome during the 45 days following-up. The scar on the eyelid was invisible and the eyelid worked smoothly. Conclusion Reconstruction of subtotal full-thickness upper eyelid defect by local eyelid tissue flap is very effective. No secondary stage surgery or tarsorrhaphy is needed and no complications such as ectropion will happen.
