Abstract
Objective To establish a high performance liquid chromatography method for the determination of caffeic acid and rosmarinic acid in different parts of Prunella vulgaris L..Methods The separation was performed on a Inertsil ODS-SP C18 column(150 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm) with mobile phase consisted of methanol(A)-0.1% formic acid(B)(40∶60)at flow rate of 1.0 mL/min,The UV detection wavelength was set at 330 nm,the column temperature was at room temperature.Results The linear range of caffeic acid and rosmarinic acid were 0.1~2.0 μg and 0.426~8.520 μg,respectively.The average recovery of caffeic acid and rosmarinic acid were 98.69% and 98.81%.Conclusion The method is simple,rapid,accurate and can be used for determinating caffeic acid and rosmarinic acid in different parts of Prunella vulgaris L..
