Abstract
The impacts of two compatibilizers maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene (PP-g-MAH) and maleic anhydride grafted ethylene-octene copolymer elastomers (POE-g-MAH) on the mechanical property of the polypropylene/nylon6 (PP/PA6) blends system were studied.By scanning election microscopy (SEM),differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and mechanical properties test, studied influence of the compatibilizers POE-g-MAH and PP-g-MAH on the compatibility, morphology structure and the mechanical property on the PP/PA6 blends. The results indicated that,by adding two compatibilizers, the compatibility of PP/PA6 system was increased. The effect of PP-g-MAH was mainly to enhance the intensity, and the effect of POE-g-MAH was mainly to enhance the toughness.
