Abstract
This paper presents the comparison of various system performance indicators between the energy efficient building and traditional building and the scheme design and economics assessment of energy efficient building in the cold area. The result shows that the energy efficient building is economically feasible under a favorable policy or some social conditions. The analysis on the sensitivity of additional investment payback period to the different energy efficient systems in the energy efficient building shows that to increase steam prices and reduce the initial investment of the advanced materials and equipments can improve the economical competitiveness of the energy efficient building, which could promote its development.
