A Tentative Discussion on the Harmonious Spirit in Teaching Culture in Ancient Guangxi Academy of Classical Learning

The academy of classical learning was China's unique educational form and cultural carrier in ancient times.In the course of long-term development,it formed its own harmonious cultural spirit.This spirit in teaching in ancient Guangxi academy is mainly reflected in :(1)harmonious combination of teaching and academic research;(2)letting different schools of thought contend;(3)simultaneous development of ethics and learning;(4)stressing guidance in students' reading;(5)harmonious relationships between teachers and students.This shows that the harmonious spirit in ancient Guangxi academy of classical learning is still of great practical significance in promoting the development of today's Guilin cultural and educational undertakings.
