Abstract
A new environmental Keggin catalyst,LaHPSiW_(12)O_(40),was prepared and characterized by FT-IR.Esterification of nbutyl alcohol with propionic acid catalyzed by the catalyst was chosen as probe reaction,effects of n-butyl alcohol/propionic acid mol ratio,catalyst amount,reaction time and catalyst reusability on catalytic activity were investigated.Experiment showed that the catalyst had high catalytic activity for synthesis of n-butyl propionate,its synthesis was convenient and had good reusability.Under optimized conditions,yield of n-butyl propionate can be over 80.0%.
