Abstract

Su Shi highly praises Du's poems in literary creation in his early years.and highly praises Tao's poems instead in his old age.He closely relates to their behavior to determine the style, grade and value of their literary creation, excavate the great value of their personality and their poems and function as overall knowledge and re-annotation of the location of Tao and Du's position and role in Chinese history of literature. Su Shi's method of recognizing and commenting on writers enlightens today's understanding of literary phenomena and the rules and features of Chinese literature.
