The History,System and Lessons of UK Affordable Housing Policy

This paper introduced the British affordable housing policy history and a current implementation system of British affordable housing programmes and summarized the British housing experiences and lessons.This paper also argued that local governments can neither bear a heavy construction burden nor get housing market almost free.What local governments need to do is to take all kinds of long-term factors into consideration to make affordable housing development principles and policies,getting organizations involved in affordable housing construction and management actively,in order to promote affordable housing supply channels,broaden the financing way of innovation and allow more low-income residents to enjoy the benefits of affordable housing.
