Comparison of extracting procedure of total flavones in Polygonum aviculare L. var. aviculare

The factors which effected the extraction of total flavones from Polygonum aviculare L. var. aviculare were discussed with respects to solvent, concentration and the extracting temperature. The rutin was used as a standard compound, the total flavones extracted by the different extracting procedure were quantitated by measurement of absorbance at 510 nm. The results show that 80 ℃ and 35% alcohol are optimal and the extracting rate of the total flavones is as high as 4.349%.
