Abstract
Pointed to the misunderstanding in application of Lean Production as well as the shortcoming in factory design of nowadays, puts forward the concept of lean design and its theory frame. Does a comparison of traditional methods of factory design with lean design and comes to a conclusion that with the increase of competition and the mature of information technology, lean design is a trend. Points out that the application of simulation tool in lean design has many advantages, finally gives out the relative procedure thus providing a new angle for companies to do improvement.
