Abstract

The carbon cycling in the terrestrial ecosystem is very important in the global carbon budgets. The increasing nitrogen content in ecosystem is resulted from human activity, and this will influence the carbon sequestration and reallocation in soil and plant, hence affects the main carbon processes in the terrestrial ecosystem. This paper reviews the effect of nitrogen input on terrestrial ecosystem carbon pool in recent years, and makes a prospect for research, and at the same time, brings forward some future topics in this field.
