Abstract
Objective To evaluate the consistency of the intraocular pressure (IOP) values measured with Icare rebound tonometer (Icare),Goldmann applanation tonometer (GAT) and dynamic contour tonometer (DCT) before and after central corneal thickness (CCT) correction. Methods The effects of CCT on the IOP values measured with Icare,GAT and DCT were compared. The consistency among the IOP values was evaluated with Bland-Altman analysis. Results The correlation coefficients of CCT and IOP values measured by Icare,GAT and DCT were 0.341 (P0.001),0.333 (P0.001) and 0.032 (P=0.699) respectively. The 95% limits of the agreement between every two tonometers after CCT correction were narrower than those before correction. Conclusion The IOP values of the three tonometers can not be interchanged in clinic before CCT correction. However the IOP values of Icare and DCT can be exchanged after correcting according to CCT.
