Clinical effect comparison of esomeprazole and omeprazole in treatment of gastric ulcer

Abstract

Objective To compare the clinical effect of esomeprazole and omeprazole in treatment of gastric ulcer.Methods 138 cases of patients with gastric ulcer in our hospital from December 2012 to January 2014 were selected and randomly divided into treatment group and control group,69 cases in each group.Esomeprazole was given to the treatment group,and omeprazole was given to the control group.The clinical treatment of symptom score,the total effective rate and the rate of Hp eradication of the two groups were observed and compared. Results The clinical treatment of symptom score of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group,the difference was significant(t=5.3204,P=0.0000).The total effective rate and the rate of Hp eradication of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group respectively,the difference was significant(χ2=12.6374,P=0.0004;χ2=11.4701,P=0.0007). Conclusion The clinical efficacy of esomeprazole in treatment of gastric ulcer is significant,it is one of the ideal choice for clinical treatment of gastric ulcer.
