VPN Technology based on IPSec and its Realization

Abstract

With popularization of network application, the network safety has been becoming apparent. IPSec provides the transparent encryption service for the applications on the IP network communication, therefore, it is very natural to employ it in the field of VPN. This paper introduces some of the basic terminologies of IPSec, and then describes the method of VPN configuration based on IPSec between two gateways which use Linux or Windows 2000.
