Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of two rabbit models of delayed cerebral spasm (DCVS) after subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) by CTA. Methods Twenty healthy rabbits were underwent double injection of autologuous blood into the cisterna magna as double-hemorrhage model and 20 rabbits were injected blood after hypodesmus of both arteria earotis as the symptom model. All the experimental animals have an examination by CTA after SAH at 1 d ,4 d ,7 d, 11 d and 14 d. Results The peak of arteria basilaris spasm was reached at 4 d, relieved at 14 d and the vessel diameter were measured by CTA from 1 d to 14 d in the double-hemorrhage model. Conclusions Compared with the two models, double injection group can produced reliable DCVS. CTA is recommended as a reliable and minimally invasive diagnostic method offering a reliable model and measuremental method for DCVS.
