Abstract

Problems on bearing capacity of shallow foundation and the settlement calculation thereof are very complicated.The goal of making the design objectively reflect the particular project can be neither achieved by experience nor simply by consulting any technical code.It is necessary to combine the design and forecast with the observation,comparison and analysis thereafter in dealing with geotechnical engineering.
