Abstract
The objective of this study was to observe the curative effects and adverse reactions in the treatment of advanced gastric cancer with OHLF3 and HLFP regimen. Methods: In a non-randomized manner, 56 patients with advanced gastric cancer were divided into the treatment group (OHLF3) and control group (HLFP). OHLF3 regimen: OXA 130 mg/m2 iv d_1, HCPT 6 mg/m2 iv d_1-d_5 were given, LV 100 mg/m2 and 5-FU 500 mg/m2 iv d_2 to d_6. HLFP regimen: DDP 25 mg/m2 iv d_1-d_3 was given, HCPT 6 mg/m2 iv d_1-d_5, LV 100 mg/m2 and 5-FU 500 mg/m2 iv d_6-d_ 10 . Every 21 days was 1 cycle. Tumor assessments were done after 3 cycles. Results: the over all response rates in the treatment group (32 cases) and control group (24 cases) were 56.3 %(18/32) and 41.2 %(10/24) respectively. There was no significant difference (χ2=1.167, P=0.280). The side effects of both groups were neutropenia nausea, vomiting, stomatitis, diarrhea and neuritis. Conclusions: the side effects of LOHP plus HCPT, LV and 5-Fu were slight. The regimen appears to be very good for patients with advanced gastric cancer.
