Identification of some biological characteristics for the CDV /R-20 /12 strain of canine distemper virus

To verify the biological characteristics of a strain of canine distemper virus( CDV /R- 20 /12) from raccoon dog,which was isolated from the lungs of healthy raccoon dog. The virus strain was identified using the amplification refractory mutation system PCR( ARMS- PCR),pathogenicity test,cohabitation infection trial,test for reversion to virulence and the determination of neutralizing antibody titer after immunization. The results showed that the virus strain was an attenuated strain of canine distemper virus,and it had stable immunogenicity.
