Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To discuss the expression and significance of TGF-β3 and Bcl-2 in uterine myoma tissues. METHODS:PCR and immunohistochemistry were used to detect TGF-β3,Bcl-2 mRNA and protein expression in 68 cases of uterine uterine myoma and it's adjacent normal uterine smooth muscle tissues. RESULTS:TGF-β3 and BCL-2 mRNA and protein expression in uterine fibroids, whether in luteal phase(0.71±0.30,0.64±0.14) or in proliferative phase (0.72±0.24 ,0.58±0.31)were significantly higher than the same phase in the normal uterine smooth muscle tissues (0.33±0.09,0.27±0.16;0.31±0.11,0.29±0.13),P0.05; The expression of Bcl-2 in leiomyoma cells of the luteal phase (0.64±0.14) was higher than of the proliferative phase (0.58±0.31),P0.05; but there was no significant difference between the two phase in uterine smooth muscle tissues (P0.05);the same as TGF-β3 and Bcl-2 protein in uterine myoma and the normal uterine smooth muscle tissues. CONCLUSION:The change of TGF-β3 and Bcl-2 expressions in uterine leiomyoma tissues were involved in the occurrence and development.
