Abstract
As a famous historian in Tang Dynasty,Liu Zhi- ji payed great attention to the reference of Zhou Yi and Yi'ology. He applied the ideas ofchange,immovability,simplificationwhich scholars praised highly in Tang Dynasty into interrelated historical criticism. In his development view of historiography,narrative theory of historiography,and the specification of the methods and guiding principles of historiography,Liu Zhi- ji skillfully used many technical terms in Yi'ology. This reflected the extension of the tradition that ancient Chinese historians had a thorough knowledge of both historiography and Yi'ology,It is yet another example of the development situation of Yi'ology at that time in Tang Dynasty.
