Abstract
This trial was conducted to study the effects of rapeseed meal in replacement part of soybean meal on the growth performance of Xiang broilers and the suitable percentage used in the diet for broilers during fat-tening.180 broilers at 120 d of Xiang broiler were randomly divided into 3 treatments, and each treatment had 4 replicates with 15 broilers. The broilers were fed with corn-soybean diets,in which part of soybean meal were replaced by 4% and 8% rapeseed meal, respectively. The results showed that rapeseed meal replacement did not affect body weight gain, and early feed conversion ratio was higher than that in later periods.However,8% rape-seed meal replacement decreased breast muscle rate, leg muscle rate and abdominal fatty rate.Indices from 4% rapeseed meal replacement showed similar traits with the control group. It was concluded that the rapeseed meal could be used to replace soybean meal with 4% in the diet for broilers during fattening.
