Abstract

Objective:To investigate the clinical distribution and the drug resistance of Acinetobacter baumannii to provide guidance for clinical medication. Methods:Specimens were collected from clinical patients with infection from January 2006 to December 2008,Acinetobacter baumannii were isolated and the drug sensitivity tested retrospectively. Results:A total of 472 cases of Acinetobacter baumannii were isolated, sputum was the main specimen of which Acinetobacter baumannii were isolated(70.34%),Acinetobacter baumannii was mainly distributed at ICU(32.84%).These strains were susceptible to imipenem, meropenem and cefoperazone/sulbactam,the drug resistance rate to other eleven antibiotics was high. Conclusion:Acinetobacter baumannii is susceptible to imipenem, meropenem and cefoperazone/sulbactam and antimicrobial agents should be used rationally to decrease multi-drug resistance.
